Frequently asked questions
What services do you offer?
I offer personalised antenatal care, postnatal support, infant feeding consultations, antenatal classes for couples, and one-off maternity appointments. My services can be used alongside NHS care or as standalone support.
Do you provide labour care?
No. I currently provide antenatal, postnatal, and infant feeding support only.
Where do appointments take place?
Appointments are offered in your home or virtually. Antenatal classes may be delivered in small group settings or online.
How long are appointments?
Most appointments last between 60–90 minutes, allowing time for questions, education, and emotional support.
Do you support bottle-feeding and combination feeding?
Yes. I support all feeding choices and provide non-judgemental, evidence-based guidance.
Are you a qualified midwife?
Yes. I am a UK-registered midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and a member of IMUK.
What if I need urgent medical advice?
If you have urgent concerns, you should contact your local NHS maternity unit. They are open 24hours everyday including bank holidays.
How much do your services cost?
Prices vary depending on the service or package. A full pricing list is available on the website.
Can I use your services if I have a high-risk pregnancy?
Yes. I provide education and emotional support alongside specialist NHS care. I do not replace medical or obstetric input.
Do you replace my NHS midwife?
No. My services complement NHS maternity care. Many families choose additional private support for longer appointments, continuity, and emotional wellbeing.
What do your antenatal classes cover?
Classes cover pregnancy, labour preparation, early postnatal recovery, newborn care, infant feeding, and partner support.
Are your antenatal classes suitable for first-time parents?
Yes. Classes are designed to support first-time parents as well as those having another baby.
